Easily the best meal we had in Barcelona.
The crescendo of the meal for us was when after being served 13 or so dishes of some of the most delicious (dare I say succulent 🙂 plates of food we’ve ever eaten, we were getting to the point of loosening our belts, melting into our chairs, and preparing for the delicious desserts to come. The server then brings us two massive, mind-bogglingly good pork ribs to put us over the edge into pure meat-induced satisfaction. They were so. damn. good.
We ordered the medium tasting menu (they have a small and larger menu) and the deliciousness just kept on coming. It was basically a never-ending train of food where each dish was surprising and delicious.
Highlights include the beef tartare in top of a bone stuffed with delicious marrow, octopus on top of garbanzo beans, the pork ribs, and the mango dessert.
What I really like about this place is that the food isn’t “foofy”. No molecular gastronomy or art-on-a-plate. The dishes are rustic and clearly built with one goal: to be as delicious as possible.
