5411 Empanadas

How did I not find out about this sooner?

Amazing empanadas at $2.50 a piece – a wallet-friendly, delicious dining experience.

We tried the beef empanada, the date and bacon empanada (which tasted dead-on like dates wrapped in bacon that you would get at a great tapas place), and the ham and cheese. The ham and cheese was my personal favorite – being a red-blooded American who scarfed down the occasional ham and cheese Hot Pocket as a child, it hit close to home as the adult-version of an awesome kid snack. That being said, all three were perfectly cooked, flaky, and donning delicious pastry. It was hard to pick a favorite.

My only gripe with the entire experience is that when we dined, the small space was seated to capacity. The tables we sat at were very close together – we were basically rubbing elbows with the couple next to us.

Small space aside, these empanadas are a must-try.

I just don't want to look back and think "I could've eaten that."
